3 Three branches of tutoring:  Counseling 2 – started at Clovis Center  Writing Center (aka Extended Learning Center or ELC) – started under Cooperative Title V grant (2004-2009)  Math Lab – started at Clovis Center (2005)

8  Biology (Arla Hile): designed extra credit program for Bio 5 students to improve writing skills  English (Jeff Burdick): conducted tutor- guided peer review sessions  Political Science (Lee Brown): developed materials to supplement his essay assignment  Psychology (Mark Hernandez): provide study guides

9  Put a section with information about the Tutorial Center (phone number, hours, etc.) in your syllabus and/or on your Blackboard page.  Invite a coordinator to present to your classes.  Encourage individual students to make appointments.  Work with a coordinator to develop supplemental materials to incentivize student attendance.
