The animals I want to research are giraffes. Giraffes are from the group of vertebrates, called mammals. They are interesting animals and I want to know why they’re shy as well as giraffes’ other behaviors.
3
Giraffes have very big eyes. They are the tallest land animals. Adult male giraffe’s height is 17 feet tall on average. Giraffe patterns is dark color and brown patches.
4
Giraffes live in different parts of Africa. Giraffes need a place that have trees. Giraffes live in an open forest where the trees are not too close together because if a lion is coming, the branches might get in their way.
5
A giraffe’s main predator are lions, but because of the giraffe’s long neck, they can see the lion coming.
6
Giraffes only eat leaves on the trees in their habitat. Giraffes use their long tongues to get the leaves off the trees. What Do They Eat?
7
They are quiet by nature, however they can make many other sounds like mooing, snorting, growling, etc. if they wanted to.
8
I didn’t know that giraffes had different patterns all over Africa. The longest a giraffe has ever lived has been 28 years. Female and male giraffes have horns.
