A Home service for Sukkot

Tzedakah Tzedakah is an important tradition for Jewish farmers, especially during harvest time. The Torah says for farmers to leave some of their crops in the fields so the poor can come and glean them Today, some families give to shelters and soup kitchens to help feed the hungry.

Sukkot is welcomed by lighting candles.

Hamotzi People eat ‘challah’ a type of bread and say thank you for the harvest.

Blessing for Sukkot Shabbat is a day of rest, it is tradition not to work on this day. Shabbat is a central part of Jewish family life. It is a time for family and friends to get together for meals, prayer and relaxation. Shabbat begins Friday evening, for about 24 hours Each morning during Sukkot (except during Shabbat) the Jews recite a blessing.
