Views about being British …. When I think of what it means to me to be British, I think about - all our sporting achievements (Beijing 2008, Olympic rowing, London 2012), - the music we have shared with the world (The Beatles, Oasis, Cold Play) and the summer music festivals (Glastonbury). - The leadership provided by our politicians (Churchill, Thatcher, Blair, Cameron). - The battles Britain have been involved in (WWII, Iraq, UN peacekeeping troops) - Historical monuments (Stonehenge, Buckingham Palace, Edinburgh Castle) - The laws that ensure men and women are treated equally - Open debate about ideas and beliefs we are each allowed -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UptHOWrcd9Ahttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UptHOWrcd9A -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HsxDiVdcyAhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HsxDiVdcyA
