Study of the book of Job Chapter 9 – What do you know about God? Since it seems to Job’s wife (2:9) and to his friends Eliphaz and Bildad (chapters 4, 5, 8) that Job does not know God, THEY TELL HIM WHO GOD IS, BASED ON WHAT THEY THINK THEY KNOW! It is always easier for others to tell YOU how God is dealing with YOU and WHY!

Study of the book of Job A half-truth is just that, half of the truth – verses 1, 2 – Job agrees with some of what his friends say, particularly as it relates to God punishing the wicked

Study of the book of Job Verses 3 – 35 - It is important to know God for yourself through experience (life), observation (to notice the creations of God, and through revelation ( to learn about God through his Words – The Bible; and the Holy Spirit as He guides us as we listen to Him).

Study of the book of Job God is wise – v. 3 God is powerful – vv. 4-10 God is awesome – vv. 11-14 God is too just to be challenged, to wise to be wrong - vv. 15-19

Study of the book of Job In our pain, disappointment, and perhaps anger, we must be careful, not to wrongly define the actions of God toward us! verses 20-35; chapter 10
