Thursday 11/7 and Friday 11/8 Continue with The Canterbury Tales Today’s Agenda: The Prologue: pp. 140 through 165 CW/HW: COMPLETE UP TO PAGE 150 – THE COOK! Use and complete the chart. Add a section for SATIRE/IRONY – This is the prologue of the Canterbury Tales. See handout from bins. Use it to take notes on what you are reading. Also, begin looking at CHOICE assignments. Due in the next week. – Next Session: Continue with the Prologue/Finish It. Begin: The Pardoner’s Tale (pp. 165-177) Be prepared to RE-READ the selection in class. Be prepared for a brief reading check (QUIZ).

EXIT TICKET: Explain the IRONY in each of the following character portraits: 1.The NUN 2.The SKIPPER 3.The MERCHANT 4.The DOCTOR P.S. PINK SLIP: If you did not do the reading: just OWN it and write that on your paper. Along with the reason why the reading is not completed. You had 5 days to complete this assignment.
