Transition Status Fully Converted 871 of 887 Local Agencies and Task Forces Most of DPS Except Driver License Division Focus: To get compliant with CJIS Mostly the very large agencies Remaining A few smaller agencies have converted workstations but still have their interface on legacy.

TLETS Statistics Average Number of Messages Per Day: 2006: 3,099,754 2007: 3,290,093 2008: 3,532,805 Increasing by about 200,000 per day annually

Tuesday, April 14: Computers in the Texas DPS Enterprise Network began exhibiting bizarre symptoms Wednesday, April 15: Determination made that Servers and Workstations were infected with Conficker worm. Thursday, April 16: Tools were distributed to allow technicians to “clean” machines Friday, April 17: Outside Resources Engaged. 3-prong approach adopted

DPS Network Report Over the weekend –Placed IPS into the DPS network –Implemented Strategic Approach to cleaning infected machines –Disconnected VPN connectivity for DPS Enterprise network

TPWD Boat Registration Purpose: Provide Automated Boat Registration Responses Through TLETS Status: –Ready for deployment. –MOU between two agencies. –Hopefully as soon as mid-May TLETS operators will simply send a BQ having a destination of “TX”

NLETS Chief Project Criminal History Information Exchange Format Purpose: Support BJS NCHIP Bureau of Justice Statistics National Criminal History Improvement Program Support the implementation of a standardized rapsheet in XML, either using GJXDM or NIEM Status: Temporarily on Hold until solutions to Texas Juvenile and Court information can be determined

Omnixx 4.0 Omnixx 4.0 is being released –Certified for use on Windows Vista –Uses Java 1.6.x Conversion Strategy not yet determined –Agency needs will be considered –New url will support the 4.0 –Old url will remain in place and support 3.2
