Making Peace With Britain Treaty of Paris Parliament voted in favor of peace. Ben Franklin and John Adams were a part of the American delegation. Britain recognized the independence of the United States. Boundaries: Atlantic on east, Canada on the north, the Mississippi River on the west, and Florida on the South. Florida returned to Spain. U.S. agreed to “earnestly recommend” to restore rights & property of Loyalists.
