2. For Christians the evening of December 24 is considered as the birth of the Son of God - Jesus Christ. We also celebrate this holiday in Bulgaria. In our country is called Christmas Eve!

3. The evening begins as the oldest man ignites a holiday fire. It is fueled by the Yule –tide log, a special wood that burns all night.

4. According to an old tradition, you can find on the table : - boiled corns - boiled beans - dried fruit - garlic - honey - nuts - manna croup - ritual bread

5. There is a special bread in which you can find a coin and who finds it will have health and money throughout the year. The bread is broken into several pieces : - for dead - God - for every member of the - family - and for all animals It is a custom not to leave the table before every one has been fed !!!

6. After midnight start Koledari. The Koledars are boys up to 12 years. They go around from house to house singing songs and carrying health. Hostesses give them buns, dried fruit, nuts and candy.
