Recommendations Secondary level should be bounded to class 9 th -12 th Need based system of education Vocational needs should be aligned with education Aptitude must be identified at secondary level Issues regarding quality of education not addressed by NEAS should be addressed Teaching should be SLOs’ based

Assessment Criteria Objective based Potential should be identified Co-curricular activities should be a part of assessment Aptitude tests for placements at secondary level

Teacher Training Three year cyclic basis training (as mentioned in NEP, 2009) should be initiated. Check on resource person regarding expertise Professional approach of the resource person DRR ( Disaster Risk Reduction) Sufficient number of teachers according to the strength of students Incorporate life skill based education ( child abuse, emotional intelligence, social and interpersonal skills etc)

Quota System How many skilled students are required to be produced in a particular field? More specialized fields should be introduced to the students before they get admission at secondary level.

Activity based pedagogy should be introduced. Properly equipped science and ICT labs.
