Step 1: Kick out the French

Step 3: Hang the taxman Tar and feathers!

Step 8: Keep the tea tax “I am clear that there must always be one tax to keep up the right, and as such I approve the tea duty.” King George III The king knew this would not bring in a lot of money. He just wanted everyone to know that Britain still had the power to tax the colonists.

Step 9: Throw a tea party

Step 10: Pay the fiddler The colonists are now going to have consequences for their actions. Close Boston Harbor More soldiers

Step 11: Stand firm Continental Congress

Step 12: Make speeches Give me liberty or give me death!

Step 13: Let blows decide “The New England Colonies are in a state of rebellion…..Blows must decide whether they are to be subject to this country or independent.” King George III
