Scenario You and your team have been asked to design and build a machine that will continue to operate without additional energy input once it has been set in motion. Your team will need to present your design and prototype to the US Patent Office for review. The Patent Office requires a working model of your design before a patent can be awarded. All your work should be documented, individually, in your science notebook so that the process of your development can be followed (from brainstorming to final model).

Presentation For your presentation, your group must: NAME YOUR MACHINE!! 1. Have a detailed diagram of your machine. It must be labeled and colored. You must use the 11x17 paper. 2. A formal list of materials needed and a description of how the machine will work. This will be written neatly on 8.5x11 paper. 3. An explanation of what perpetual motion is, and why it is possible/impossible here on Earth. This will focus on the 4 questions on the back.
