Debuted on August 30, 1995 CNN Pipeline - paid subscription service for video streaming from 4 sources - Replaced in 2007 In 2006, CNN Exchange and iReport - brought together impact of all things journalism CNN International debuted in 2008 2009 - Newest version with "sign up" option to create own username CNN has their own YouTube channel & Twitter Ranked third place among online global news sites - increase of 11% from 2008-2009

Major features of the website A few select large photos are main focus. Right hand side: breaking international news, and latest US news are links that lead to the actual article Featured videos 12 Main categories such as U.S., World, Business, and Politics that make it easier to search for specific types of articles. 12 tabs with these categories at the top of the site also. The “search” bar in the top right corner. Allows for specific searches. Advertisements along right side of site.

Cluttered and too much information at once Lack of focus on what’s important/breaking news People like the feel of an actual newspaper, such as The New York Times. May take people longer than they would like to find breaking news. Can follow CNN on Twitter and get information that way instead of checking their website.

iReport is not fact-checked and can be submitted by anyone The website is cluttered - especially "Entertainment" - with so many pictures Top Stories of the day are not always found quickly Website is sometimes slow to load - especially videos Links to stories need to be larger Home page should scroll through the day's top stories
