2. INTRODUCTION Our vision is, a 4 th of July themed First Friday. With bright summery colors to go along with our big July picnic. For the children’s entertainment there will be plenty of games for them to enjoy like; face painting, coloring contests, and decorating t-shirts. Also a petting zoo will be included, along with the petting zoo there will be horse rides too. A way the environment contributes to this idea is by giving people the warm summery feeling while they enjoy games and fun.

3. EVENTS Our first main event is called Animal Fun. In Animal Fun, people can have the option to adopt a pet of their own. When a person wants to adopt a pet they can go to a booth labeled pet adoptions and request the type of pet and which one they would like. Also included are animal accessories and a petting zoo where there are pony rides. Booths will be laid out in a corner where they will have pet accessories available to purchase. In the petting zoo, animals will be fenced in where people can have the option to pet the animal or pay money to go in and play with them. The last activity in Animal Fun is pet auctions. There will be a big stage with pets all lined up and the person auctioning the pets will call out numbers and the highest bidder gets that pet or the prize. The second main event is called 4 th Of July Fun. An activity in 4 th Of July Fun is the “SPLASH DUNK TANK.” The splash tank will be in a corner on the square, where there will be a line to dunk the person which will cost $5 for 6 balls to throw at the target. A picnic will be available to people who would like to pay $4 for a meal and a drink. Face painting will be optional for kids enjoyment. A long table will consist of face painting artists who will paint kids faces for $1. The next activity is decorating a tie died t-shirt. The kid can arrive at the tie dye station and chose the tie-dye shirt color they want. Then pay $2 for the t-shirt and add any decorations they please. The final activity will be the GRAND FIREWORK SHOW. A place near the square will be reserved for the firework show. The show is free and it will be 20 minutes long with music included.

4. THE REASONING FOR THESE EVENTS… The reasoning for the event, Animal Fun is for people to have the enjoyment of adopting and playing with pets. Also its an opportunity for people who want to buy accessories or other goods for the pets they love! The reasoning for our event, 4 th of the July Fun is for people to have the pleasure of summery activities. In addition to the summer activities it gives people a chance to have family fun.

5. THE ADVANTAGES FOR THIS IDEA The advantage for the events, Animal Fun & 4 th of July Fun is it gives people in the community a chance to have fun with spending very little money. Also it is a way to try new things and it brings families closer together by having fun in the summer!

6. MATERIALS/SUPPLIES We will need the following… o Fireworks o Pets/pet supplies o Booths with workers o Cages o Forks, Spoons, etc. for the food o Face paint/ face painters o Dunk tank o Picnic foods/strawberries/picnic tables o Utensils and plates o Instruments/iPads The reasoning for these materials is for our games and booths so we can have the things that make them fun and the items we need. Also we need the supplies/utensils for the people who would like to play games or eat food. The materials are beneficial because they are used to add excitement and interest to our first Friday theme and events.

7. BENEFITS OF EVENTS o For the enjoyment of people o To save animals o To see the smiles of all the people that enjoy the first Friday fun o To have a good time with their family o For people to eat good food o Our idea is the best because a lot of people enjoy family time, games, and great food! Also it’s the best idea because who doesn’t love summery fun! o It benefits all families of north west Arkansas that are able to attend. It is very effective because it attracts many people and their families.

8. CONCLUSION Our vision for first Friday is the 4 th of July special (special means lots of activities put in one BIG event). We’re adding a bunch of summery colors, fun games, pet adoptions, a big picnic, fireworks, and games to make your family have a fun 4 th of July. We want to save animals, look fun, shoot fire works, and have fun! The main points of our idea are to have fun, rescue pets, do traditions, and eat good food! This would be beneficial because it would attract more people from the community.
