2.  It took 2 years to complete the Eiffel Tower.  It took 132 workers and 50 engineers to build it.  It was complete in 1889, and was then the tallest structure in the world at 320 metres high!

5.  The Eiffel Tower has 2.5 million rivets.  The Eiffel Tower weighs 7000 tons.  50 tons of paint has to be applied to it every 7 years to avoid rust.  It was built for the World's Fair to show that iron could be strong like stone while being a lot lighter.
