3. GPA GPA means… Grade Point Average.

4. What is Grade Point Average? Your Grade Point Average (GPA) helps you understand how well you are doing in school. It is also a way of deciding if you are ready to go to a college/vocational program. High schools and colleges also use GPA to decide if you can play sports. Most high schools and colleges say you must have a 2.0 GPA or higher to be able to play sports.

5. Test Scores vs. GPA Be sure to know the difference between test scores and Grade Point Average. Test scores are what you get on a test. For example, you might score a 92 on your math test.

6. Test Scores 97 – 100 = A+73 – 76 = C 93 – 96 = A70 – 72 = C- 90 – 92 = A-67 – 69 = D+ 87 – 89 = B+63 – 66 = D 83 – 86 = B60 – 62 = D- 80 – 82 = B- 0 – 59 = F 77 – 79 = C+

7. GPA A = 4.00 B = 3.00 C = 2.00 D = 1.00 F = 0.00 Note: A- = 3.75, B+ = 3.25, B- = 2.75, C+ = 2.25, etc, but to keep the math simple (for now) we will just use 4.00, 3.00, 2.00, and 1.00.
