Case 1: ’Symbio’ the students as developers and learners together with SMEs and regional organisations Already 300 students have studied in Symbio (½ year, 30 credits) Student/Project manager Suvi’s success story: Project ’Winterfest event’ produced together with Speed Promotion&Agency Ltd ”The process has been amazing. I have learned to use all the knowledge I have during the past 8 months. I have learned to lead a team and maintain motivation in order to reach the objects’” Today she is working as a producer in Speed Promotion& Agency www.haaga-helia.fi 6

Case 4: Innocatering – The Restaurant of Tomorrow The aim is to develop a real life innovation environments Partners: Forum Virium Centre, Construction company, Restaurant, Design and technology companies In 2008-09: Over 100 students created the scenarios of the future service environment and the concept planning In 2010: over 100 students will work on scenarios, on concept development and on ’micro world’ construction www.haaga-helia.fi 9
