1. Edinburg is the capital city of Scotland. There live about half a million people. It is a political, cultural and banking centre, there is the parliament too. This town belongs to the UNESCO. 2. Location – Edinburgh is located in southern Scotland, on the east coast of the North Sea near Firth or Forth Bay. 3. The old town is the centre of Edinburgh. The Edinburgh castle is the famous building in the city. There are crown jewels. 4. The Royal Mile is a very popular street for tourists. It joins the castle and the Holyroodhouse (the queen‘s summer seat). There are lots of restaurants and shops. 5. The beautiful university was built in 16th century. Charles Darwin or Alexander Bell studied there and I want to study there too. Daniela Jedlinská, 3.C
