2 This is how the Inuit Indians got clothing in the Arctic. One material they used is polar bear fur. Some other materials they used are animal hides, seal skin, and fur. The clothes the men wore are called a parka. They used sinew bones as needles and sinew veins as threads. Buffalo hides made robes and moccasins. The Inuit needed thick warm clothes to survive the name of the thick clothes is Anorka. They used bows and arrows, and spears to kill the animals. They used a bison bladder for a water proof bag and a pocket.

3 The Inuit tribe would hunt and gather in the summer and they would make teepees and wigwams. Inuit tribes would some times make permanent villages and would make more solid homes like log and bark homes. When Inuit people go hunting and theirs a storm they build temporary shelters. An igloo is basically a dome of ice cubes and snow. Inuits used snow to make their homes because the air pockets in the snow act like isolation. The use for igloos has to have structural strength to be able to be cut without breaking and be easily stacked. The Inuit tribe also made teepees. Teepees were made of deer and wood and other animals. And this is the end of my report on Inuit shelter.

4 This is my report on the Inuit food. Inuits ate walrus, reindeer seals, and bison. They ate the food because there is a lack and they can’t always find food laying on the floor. Every part of animals are used because they thought that the animal was sacraficing their lives for them. That is my report on the Inuit food.

7 The Inuit Indians lived in the Arctic. Instead of cars they used sleds pulled by huskies to pull them across the ice. No trees grew so there wasn’t a lot wood in the winter. In the coldest months they lived in igloos. When it got warm they built teepees made of twigs, rocks, animal skin, and anything else they could find. Since the Inuit people lived in a place that plants did not grow well their food consisted of only meat and very little vegetables. Their choices of food were whales, seals, walruses, fish, arctic foxes, polar bears, muskoxen, and bison. The Inuit lived in the north Arctic where it was very cold. They still had summers but they were short. Since the summers were so short only small plants like moss, lichens, and scrub bushes. They wore animal skin for clothing as well. That is the end of my report on the Inuit environment.
