Cox School –Requirement – Electronic Documentation of student achievement (Portfolio) –Must be able to archive video, audio, graphics, or any type of computer file –Informal assessment of work by self, peers, teachers, and parents  School Board member – education conference in Eastern Canada  Brought information back to the senior admin team

4.  Technology Coordinator researched out the software available  Online demo with staff from Concordia University in Montreal and Principal from I. F. Cox as well as Assistant Superintendent  Proposal from Concordia for research into electronic portfolios  Requirement for obtaining the software - Training

5.  Montreal training/information session for –Technology Coordinator –Principal –Teacher –Aide (responsible for electronic portfolios)

6. Implementation  Installation on centralized file server –Runs on Mac, Windows, or Linux web servers –Choose as robust a server as possible –Requires enough storage space (hard drive space) on the server. Currently each user has a maximum limit of 75 MB. –Server must have PHP and MySql installed -After installation, you just need a web browser to make it work along with any other software that you currently have available for student use. -Currently being piloted in I. F. Cox School since October -Sample student work ….
