Buying and Selling Equipment Between personal and school purchases, I have bought and sold an insane amount of stuff online

Locally - http://forum.bcc.drewloker.com/index.phphttp://forum.bcc.drewloker.com/index.php Market Place – be sure to subscribe so that you get postings of when stuff is posted.

SETexas Classifieds http://southeasttexas.com/classifieds/ One free ad for everybody. Good place to sell, fast – People like Face to Face, resale prices tend to be a little higher than ebay. Buying not as good…people tend to ask too much.
4
Texas Photo Forum Subscribing with daily email will give you first debs on some really good items being sold on TPF on a regular basis.

Ebay Great for buying and selling – Only 2-3 purchases gone awry…but all resolved in the end. Don’t mess with “auction” auctions for either – Use BIN (Buy It Now) for buying and Selling Especially when selling…prevents snipping (last minute buyers purchasing with 3 seconds left in an auction) When buying, you MIGHT save a few bucks trying to win an auction, but if you can find a BIN, you will save time, which in the long run is money. When buying – Look for solid feedback – Write the person first for big ticket items
6
Henry’s – Good Value, but check Amazon first. Ebay lowest price, plus shipping is almost the same as Ebay with full USA warranty.
7
Ebay Selling Is a bit more complicated these days. – Paypal is pretty much required. Which means you are going to pay Ebay to sell, then PayPal to receive the money. – Have to make sure it is a BIN, or somebody can come along and take your item for next to nothing. If you put a reserve price, you pay extra. – Cost to list an item even if it doesn’t sell. Amazon…no charge for listing
8
Amazon Excellent for buying Excellent for selling – Search for time, then click: “Sell yours here” Sells very quickly, very easy to post using special Amazon account at www.sellercentral.comwww.sellercentral.com Amazon handles the payment…sends you the money – You can set your price to a $1 under the next lowest person and your item will usually sell within a day. Set the price a few dollars higher, and eventually it will sell…just keep up with the price (easy to do in the seller central).
