5 Upper Clapton Football Club Plan to THRIVE not just survive Board of Management - meet monthly 5 key functions, Playing, Finance, Operations, Development & Facilities Integrate Youth & Mini section into BOM Management Teams (supporting 5 key functions) - meet monthly and report to Board of Management General Committee – meet quarterly to review key decisions put forward by Board of Management and Management Teams NB: The aim is for all committee members to be part of a Management Team Only change to the Club Constitution is to appoint a Chairman New Operating Methodology:

6 Upper Clapton Football Club Plan to THRIVE not just survive The Chairman – to be elected at AGM The role: The Club Chairman shall chair meetings of the Board of Management and assist and direct in the strategic future running and operation of the Club Activities: Chair Board of Management meetings Set agenda and control discussions in club meetings Make decisions in consultation with other officers and General Committee Play and executive role as the principle officer throughout the year Plan ahead and be prepared to delegate Act as a conciliator between 2 parties trying to resolve a disagreement Act as point of reference for external agencies in conjunction with the Secretary Ensue all sub committees (BOM) meet regularly

9 Upper Clapton Football Club Plan to THRIVE not just survive 1.Decision to withdraw from Essex League 1 Results to date;  1 st team played 19 games & won 9  2 nd team played 13 games & won 9  3 rd team played 15 games & won 14 2.Youth Teams: building success year on year U7, U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16 & Colts 3.Strategy: Improve current playing standards at all levels Increase playing membership Establish an effective academy system to support the growth of rugby in schools and the local community – Schools Links Develop plan for player and coaching development Integrate junior and youth into ‘the Club’ Build policies and processes to support these five main objectives 4.Reapply to join Essex League 2 season 2010/2011 Playing & Development

11 Upper Clapton Football Club Plan to THRIVE not just survive 1.Build upon the relationship we have with the RFU, Middlesex and Essex Rugby Unions 2.Build an effective organisational structure which will enable us to: a)Improve the operational performance of the club b)Improve financial standing c)Improve and develop policies and processes to support the club going forward i.e. Club & ground hire Membership International Ticket allocation Marketing Licensing, insurance, health & safety Operations & Governance

12 Upper Clapton Football Club Plan to THRIVE not just survive 1.Build policies and processes to support: The improvement of adult, youth & mini playing standards at all levels The improvement of coaching standards at all levels RFU Seal of Approval Accreditation 2.Develop sponsorship plans that provide benefits for the club and the sponsor 3.Implement Shirts Sponsorship deal to cover all age groups 4.Establish long standing relationships with schools, colleges and local community 5.Develop a social environment to encourage greater use of the club facilities 6.Build an effective organisational structure which will enable all sub committees to work effectively to: Deliver solutions quickly Adapt to change effortlessly Improve financial standing 7.Improve communication with all Club Members via monthly News Letters and via the Club Website Development, Marketing & Communication

RFU Whole Club & Mini and Youth Seal of Approval accreditation The programme was introduced in 2002 as a method of examining, maintaining and improving the provision of rugby The accreditation aims to recognise the effort and achievement of those clubs that reach, maintain and improve on the required standards of quality,safety and effectiveness Clubmark accreditation Sport England Clubmark SchemeSport England Clubmark Scheme Additional funding and assistance from the RFU and other sports and business organisations Attract new players, coaches and parents Our aim is to be awarded the highest accreditation possible Aim to present our first draft to the RFU by the end of March 2010
