IT Information Graduate Students not part of mobile program Personal laptops can be connected – IT are supposed to help Many students get laptops because of TA positions Some preferred software licensing available Computing requirements are program specific

Tuition It is billed each term Fees assessed by full-time or part-time status Only pay for the terms when you enroll and not full years Must be continuously enrolled unless you have a leave A minimum program fee for domestic students is under development – Not yet determined and may not apply to you

Employment and the 10 Hour Rule Full-time graduate students cannot “work” more than an average of 10 hours per week At UOIT we average this over a year No more than an average of 15 hours per week in any one term No more than 510 hours in any 12 month period “Work” is diversionary employment – TA and RA contracts are diversionary (taxed at source) – GRA contracts support the student’s research (not taxed at source)
