PREPARATIONS AGAINST AI Preparations against possible AI outbreaks in Turkey were initiated in 2000. Legislative Framework (2000-2005) The AI contingency plan was enforced in 2005 –Laboratory activities Identified to the Reference laboratories Strengthening Diagnostic Capacity A surveillance programme and epidemiological studies were initiated in 2002. 18,669 units of serum from 320 of 7848 establishments examined, No AI agent
