The Heart and Lungs The heart is a pump. It moves the blood through the blood vessels to other parts of the body. Oxygen is carried by blood. The harder the body works, the more oxygen it needs. It is very important to remember to breathe while you are exercising.

Aerobic Exercise Aerobic exercise that makes the heart beat faster and makes you huff and puff, and is done for 15 minute or longer without stopping. Physical Fitness Your fitness plan should be done 3-4 times a week. You need to elevate your heart rate. Include aerobic exercise for 15-30 minutes. Include a warm-up and cool down.

Stress Management 1. Hold contractions for five seconds then relax completely. Feel the difference between tense, tight muscles and soft, relaxed muscles. 2. Take slow deep breaths. Fill your lungs up as if they were balloons. Hold for 10 seconds. Think about something that makes you feel happy.
