Flash Flash. It’s components and usage

New generation of web- design Definition Multimedia technology developed by Macromedia to allow much interactivity to fit in a relatively small file size. Multimedia technology developed by Macromedia to allow much interactivity to fit in a relatively small file size.

What’s for? ► With the help of flash clips many designers create navigation panels, dynamic logotips, full-format clips wiht syncronized sound and even pages with rich contence. As flash clips are vector graphics elements they change theirs size in accordance with the monitor of a user. As flash clips are vector graphics elements they change theirs size in accordance with the monitor of a user.

Flash animation Animation in flash program is created by changing contence of picture areas, which are placed in series. You can move objects on a desk field, enlarge or miniaturize them, change color, make them appear or disappear wherever you want and also change it’s shape. Changes of animation objects made in flash program can be made spontaneously in other layers. For example you can make an object which could appear and turn gradually on your desctop.
5
Flash creation methods Flash creation methods can be divided into two ones: “frame-by-frame” method: using this you have to make all the operations in each picture area manually. By this method you can also enlarge file size more then by “tweened” method. “frame-by-frame” method: using this you have to make all the operations in each picture area manually. By this method you can also enlarge file size more then by “tweened” method. “tweened” (automatic) method: using it you have to control manually only animation permanance ( you have to mark picture areas’ number ). “tweened” (automatic) method: using it you have to control manually only animation permanance ( you have to mark picture areas’ number ). All intermediate meanings are generated (interpolated) by Flash program itself.
6
“Tweened” (automatic) animation Motion-tweening: the best way to change objects’ coordinates on a desc field. Shape-tweening: this method is used for changing objects’ shape.
7
Flash layers You can imagine a layer as a pile of transparent membranes, which are placed one on another. If a layer is empty, then you can see other layers through it. When new flash clip is being created, it contains only 1 layer. You can add to this layer many other ones and with their help you can organize picture areas’ location and their animation in clip.
8
Flash layers The amount of layers is only limited by overall memory of your computer. Increasing the number of layers doesn’t lead to the enlargement of filesize. You can edit each layer separately from other layers. Besides, there is a possibility to create guide layers which make a process of drawing and editing easier. There are also mask layers.
9
Drawing and painting in Flash. When you draw a line through another line or a painted shape, other objects or shapes are created independently as if it were cut with a knife. Then the drawn line itself would be divided into parts. You can paste, move or change a form of each part independently.
10
Texts in Flash. You can insert some text in flash clips. Different operations suc as: choosing a font, font size, text style, colour of symbols etc. You can also transform a text as an object – rotate, resize, move and reflect it, saving the possibility of editing symbols. There is a possibility to work with each symbol separately.
11
Flash objects. Flash helps you to move objects, transform them, change their order and group them. Flash helps you to move objects, transform them, change their order and group them. Changing lines and peripheries you can at the same time amend some objectionable changes into other lines and peripheries on the same layer. 12
Flash form Flash form consists of two parts: Flash form consists of two parts: Flash elements that form interface; Flash elements that form interface; Program or a script that processes the submitted data and creates new output if needed. Program or a script that processes the submitted data and creates new output if needed.
13
Creation of forms. Forms are meant for filling some kind of information by a user and consist of text buttons, animated clips and texts fields, which allow transfer data to local or remote server. All elements of the forms, such as radio buttons, drop down lists, check boxes etc. They can be created as animated clips or buttons, which act like standard HTML-design elements.
14
Sound in Flash. Flash allows you to use sounds in different ways. For example, you can add a sound, which plays permanantly no matter what user does or syncronize a sound with animation. If you create soundtracks you should change volume for many times to make a sound perfect.
15
Sound Types in Flash Audio file: should be loaded completely, it has concrete size and plays as far as it ends itself or it’s not stopped. Audio stream: begins playing when it has enough data for it; has no measure of length, syncronized with the timeline. Adding sound to a clip means creating a layer for this sound, tuning sound in “Sound” item in “Frame Properties”. Adding sound to a clip means creating a layer for this sound, tuning sound in “Sound” item in “Frame Properties”.
16
Sound Properties. Sampling rate and compression ratio influence a lot on quality and filesize. Control quality and size of sound fragments with the help of “Sound Properties”. You can also change settings in window “Publish Settings”.
17
Import of images in Flash. Flash allows to place images on many vector and raster formats. Flash allows to place images on many vector and raster formats. There are two ways of placing images in Flash: There are two ways of placing images in Flash: With the help of import; With the help of import; By clipboard. By clipboard.
18
Vector formats Bitmaps (bmp files) are imported as one object and are set on an active layer. Flash saves settings of transparence that are made for imported images. Each sequence of images (for example, pict or bmp one) are imported as sequent picture areas in an active layer.
19
Vector formats Vector images, created in FreeHand or Adobe Illustrator and also wmf files are imported as a group of objects in an active layer. Flash also allows to import audio files in aiff and wav formats.
