2 Definitions Hack - clever and usually elegant solution to a problem Hacker – An individual who believes in freedom of knowledge and explores the way that the world works using any method that can teach them.

3 Case Study: Bob the ethical hacker Bob has purchased a popular database management system for his personal use. –This system is used by major corporations such as Wal-Mart, Best Buy, and EBay for managing customer information. Bob begins “playing” with this system. Bob strikes gold.
