Respiration. By Isheka frame
2
mitochondria Mitochondria are structures in cells where respiration happens. Respiration is the process that releases energy from glucose. This provides energy for life process such as movement and growth. Tissues and organs that nee a lot of energy have large numbers of mitochondria in their cells. For example, liver cells and muscle cells contain a lot of mitochondria. Thin walls- to substances to pass through easily. large surface area- to allow many reactions to take place at once.

Aerobic respiration Aerobic respiration allows you to requires oxygen. I believe Respiration is not the same thing as breathing is inhaling respiration breathing. Aerobic respiration needs oxygen to work. Aerobic respiration needs oxygen to work.
4
anaerobic respiration Not enough oxygen may reach the muscles during exercise. When this happens, they use anaerobic respiration to obtain energy. Anaerobic respiration involves the incomplete breakdown of glucose. It releases around 5% of the energy released by aerobic respiration, per molecule of glucose. The waste product is lactic acid rather than carbon dioxide and water: glucose → lactic acid (+ little energy)
