Density Formula: Density = Mass ÷ Volume Standard Unit =
Amount of mass in a given volume. All matter has density. Formula: Density = Mass ÷ Volume Standard Unit = or The ball is less dense than the liquid. Less dense materials float in more dense materials. More dense materials sink in less dense materials. The ball is more dense than the liquid.

Cutting an object in half does nothing to the density of the object!!!
Density Problems 1. Water has a density of 1.0 g/cm3. A block of wood with a density of 1.5 g/cm3 will sink in the water. If you split the wood in half would the individual pieces sink or float? Cutting an object in half does nothing to the density of the object!!!
