10 Practice Safety 1.Stay in your area unless given permission by the teacher. 2.Always walk to your destination quietly and keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.

13 Show Respect 5. Be respectful to others and their property… always treat others the way you want to be treated. Ex: When you want to speak, raise your hand and wait to be recognized by the teacher. Don’t interrupt the learning process for ANYONE!

16 Tardy When and if you are tardy, sign the Tardy Log near the door, put your excuse in the basket, quietly take your seat and begin working.

18 Tardy Policy 1st TardyTeacher will issue a verbal warning or written warning 2nd – 4th Teacher will assign detention and notify the parent 5th Team conference with student; contract may be developed 6th – 7th Student may be assigned work detail 8th – 9th Student will be assigned BIR 10th – 12th Student given one day OSS. After the third suspension, Or tardy 13, a SciP referral may be made by the principal

19 Classroom Procedure 1.Quietly enter classroom, sharpen pencil if needed 2.Start on Focus Question and Geography Question 3.Sit quietly and await further instruction

20 CONDUCT ALERT SYSTEM A conduct alert is our behavior awareness system It gives you, the student, total control of your actions You will receive 2 warnings prior to actually receiving a conduct alert card

21 How it works. 1.You will be give a warning. 2.If the behavior continues, I will place a conduct alert in front of you. 3.If the behavior still continues you will then have to fill out the form and receive the consequences for your actions.

22 Morning Routine 1.Go to locker put book bag in locker and/or bulky jackets 2.Get needed materials to bring to class a. Pencil, paper or whatever needed for class 3.Be sure to have a pencil EVERYDAY!! 4.Be seated in assigned seat

23 What Do I Do In the Classroom? 1.Raise your hand, and wait to be recognized by the teacher. 2.Give teacher attention when requested. 3.The bell DOES NOT dismiss class 4.You must clean up your area and leave the classroom in an orderly manner.

25 If your pencil breaks…. 1.Raise your hand 2.Wait to be recognized by the teacher 3.Hold up your pencil. Once acknowledged, walk to the pencil sharpener. 4.Sharpen pencil 5.Return to seat

27 Bathroom 1.You must ALWAYS have a pass to use the restroom 2.You need to go in between class and not waste classroom time.

28 Sign Out and In Sign in and out when you leave the room.

29 What Do I Do at Lunch? 1.Sit quietly and wait til you have been given instruction. 2.Line up at the door when instructed. 3.Walk quietly down the hall. 4.Walk together all the way to the cafeteria 5.Get everything you need in the lunch line. You will not be allowed to go back to the line. 6.You will sit by class 7.Leave the lunch room in an orderly fashion.

30 I Need Your Attention!! When you want my attention, you raise your hand… so when I need your attention, I will clap and raise MY HANDS and YOU: 1.Freeze and immediately stop talking. 2.Face me and FOCUS on me. 3.Be ready for instruction.

33 Rice for something Nice! 1. Every day you have the opportunity to earn a scoop of rice. 2. The class to fill their container first with rice will earn a party of their choice. (pizza, ice cream, home made cakes) 3. You can lose your scoop of the day.

34 What If… I have to use the restroom? There is no leaving the classroom for any reason OTHER than a serious emergency. If you have to go to your locker, use the restroom, etc. you MUST do so between classes. Not in mine. My pencil breaks? 1. Carry a spare! 2. Raise your hand and I will bring you the “quiet” sharpener. Don’t interrupt the learning process! There’s a fire drill? 1. Line up the same way you do for lunch 2. Quietly walk outside and the last person out needs to shut the door
