Jobseeker support Training in Australian work culture, essential employability skills, workplace rights and responsibilities, as well as occupational health and safety Assistance with career pathway planning and overseas skills recognition, training in job search techniques as well as individualised application support, including resume preparation, cover letter writing and interview coaching Access to skills development through accredited vocational training and opportunities for work experience

MDA’s role in Work & Welcome Administering program funds (tax- deductible donations) Being the formal employer of all program participants Serving as the chief referring agency to the program Assisting participants into ongoing employment

Aims of the YEF To raise awareness about the needs and challenges refugee and migrant young people face when seeking work in their chosen industries To provide young people with tips and strategies to improve their job seeking efforts To give young jobseekers an opportunity to network directly with employers
