History – Primary schools (2) Grade 6 (12 yrs): the Middle Ages in Europa the Middle Ages in Hungary the discovery of America the Ottoman Empire Grade 7 (13 yrs): industrial development freedom fights (18-19th century) the Habsburg Monarchy World War I

History – secondary schools Grade 9-12 (15-19 yrs), 4 years Same topics as in primary schools but in more details Using sources, maps, texts Final school leaving (Matura) exam: –source analysis, short answers, essay writing

Geography in primary schools (1) Lower primary: your home, your school using the map orientation on the map weather settlements Budapest towns and cities in Hungary parts of Hungary, rivers the Globe

Geography in primary schools (2) Upper primary: the same but in more details + Grade 7: the continents + history of the Earth + Grade 8: the European Union
