The following is some jobs that the women did in world war II: In 1945, more then 2.2 million women worked in building ships, air crafts, vehicles and weaponry. They worked in factories, grew plants and other food and did work with trucks where men use to work. Most are paid 32 shillings a week.($1.60) Approximately 400,000 women in USA served in forces.

Also: $2.15 a week if they were skilled working in a factory. They also had sent secret agents to France…some famous agents are Odette Churchill and Violette Szabo. In Canada 45,000 women went to war. Some also worked in mechanic and parachute riggers. They donated blood and sent care pack ages. 2 years after Pearl Harbor was attacked 475,000 women worked in aircraft factories

Mothers with kids evacuated from danger. Many lived without: Running water, electricity or gas.
