3.  18 events this past weekend  A rough estimate of 20,000 students on the field  Total for the year … 40,000???  anyone want to do the math?  17 with beautiful weather, 1 rainout (TX)  Moved the schedule ahead 3 hrs, still got caught  Evolution of GroupMe  Dropbox & Hotspots – much better

4.  This were definitely more positive feelings regarding this weekend, compared to last.  One big weekend under our belts.  The weather certainly helps the world go round.  We (collectively) still tend to GIVE AWAY too much.  Show boxes arriving late / incomplete  Judge sheets with typos  Badges  Hotspots  Dress and Attire  Pre-Event Communication

5.  A RENEWED COMMITMENT TO DETAIL  Inbox Zero (Action/Waiting)  Collaborative Task/Project Lists  How many things can we do in one week?  Don’t trust our memories.  What’s old is new again  Welcome back to Tim Gallagher

6.  Getting in touch with judges/staff/directors/hosts before the event.  There is a wide range of success here at this juncture. Some are playing “all in” and some are not. Inconsistent.  Awards and Trophies – supporting the hosts, and protecting the USBands brand.  Banners and pictures.

7.  Improvements on the Critique  Still inconsistencies here. Is this being reviewed with the Chief Judge in the huddle?  Idea – check on the Dropbox invite at the gate? Add it to the checklist?

8.  MUCH better experience with the WIFI this week. 9.  GroupMe:  It seems more and more that this is a great PRE- event tool, but can be used more as a secondary tool during the actual event (once the bands show up).  The perception of staff texting on the field continues to be a concern … a valid one.  Radios back in the mix over the next two weekends.  Timeout Meeting  This is a worthwhile effort. Some thoughts … does it need to be 45 minutes prior, 30 minutes prior, etc?

10.  18 Events  16 on Saturday  Yamaha Cup at MetLife  5 Texas Events  Still need staffing in Burleson, Goliad, Laredo  A whole bunch of local events spread out  2 on Sunday  New Jersey local events
