Hue The name of a pure color is HUE. For example, blue, red, yellow, etc. Primary colors are : Red, Yellow, Blue. They are called primary because they cannot be made from any other colors. Secondary colors are: Orange, Green, Purple They are the result of mixing the Primary colors.

COMPLEMENTARY COLORS Complementary colors are ACROSS from one another on the color wheel. They can be mixed to darken either color, or in equal proportions, used to make neutrals: brown, black and gray. There are 3 sets of complements: RED & GREEN YELLOW & PURPLE BLUE & ORANGE
