2 Maximum Maximum- The greatest or highest amount possible. 2. As great, high or intense as possible. Pronunciation- mak-se-mom On my report card I had a 90 and the maximum you can get is a 100.

3 Concise Concise- giving a lot of information clearly but in a few words Pronunciation- ken-sise At a speech they like to be concise when there talking

4 Poverty Poverty- The state of being extremely poor. Pronunciation- po-ver-dee Some of Detroit is in poverty because they are going bankrupt.

5 Collide Collide- Hit with force when moving. 2. Come to a conflict of opposition Pronunciation- ke-lid I collide into you in the hallway because I wasn’t looking where I was going.

6 Excel Excel- to be good at or proficient in a subject of activity Pronunciation- ex-cel I excel in math because I am good at it.

7 Equivalent Equivalent- to be the same as or equal to. Pronunciation- e-kwiv-a-lent Example- Four quarter are Equivalent on dollar.

8 Beneficial Beneficial- to help in a good way, or to favor someone or something. Pronunciation- be-ne-fish-el Example- Going for extra help is Beneficial for my grades.

9 Dialogue Dialogue- conversation between two or more people. Pronunciation- die-o-log Example- I read a story with a lot of Dialogue.

10 Ambitious Ambitious- showing a strong desire or determination to succeed. Pronunciation- am-bish-es Example- Matthew is Ambitious to be a Pro Bowler.

11 Excluded Excluded- deny access from place, group, or privilege. Pronunciation- x-scload-ed Example- I was Excluded from the basketball team because I'm bad.

12 Cordial Cordial- Warm and friendly; strongly felt. Pronunciation- kôr3-jiel Origin- Latin Some of my friends are cordial because they are friendly to new people they have never met before.

13 Priority Priority- anything that is regarded more important then anything else. Pronunciation- pri-or-e-dey My priorities are school because it is important.

14 Domestic Domestic- of of relating to the running of a home or to a family relation. Pronunciation– de-mes-tik Origin- latin There are domestic animals in America because they are house trained.

15 Rigorous Rigorous- extremely thorough, exhaustive or accurate. Pronunciation- rig-er-is Football practice is rigorous because there is a lot of running.

16 Compactly Compactly- in a compact manner or state, the point of taking no more space then necessary. Pronunciation- kem-poek-tly When you go on a vacation your luggage is compact because you’re trying to fit as much as possible.
