Transverse Wave Direction of Force is Perpendicular to Direction of Wave Example: Electromagnetic Waves; Earthquake Waves (S – Waves only) Force Wave

Longitudinal Wave Direction of Force is same as Direction of Wave Example: Sound Wave; Earthquake Waves (P – Waves only) Force Wave

Water Wave Combination of Transverse and Longitudinal Direction of Force is in a circle; Direction of Wave is horizontal Force Wave
