‘For He knows that what we are made of, remembering that we are dust.’ Psalms 103:14

‘A man’s steps are established by the Lord and He takes pleasure in his way. Though he falls, he will not be overwhelmed, because the Lord holds his hand.’ Psalm 37:23-24

‘Men, you don’t have any fish, do you? Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.’ ‘Put out into deep water and let down your nets for a catch.’

When they had eaten breakfast Jesus asked Simon Peter, ‘Simon, son of John do you love Me more than these?’ ‘Yes, Lord’ he said to Him, ‘you know that I love you.’ ‘Feed My lambs’ He told him…

A second time He asks him, ‘Simon, son of John, do you love Me?’ ‘Yes Lord,’ he said o Him, ‘You know I that I love you. ‘Shepherd My sheep,’ He told him.

He asked him the third time, ‘Do you love Me?’ Peter was grieved that He asked him the third time, ‘Do you love Me?’ He said. ‘Lord, You know everything! You know that I love you.’ ‘Feed My sheep,’ Jesus said. John 21:15-17

So Peter turned around and saw the disciple Jesus loved following them. That disciple was the one who had leaned back against Jesus at the supper and asked, ‘Lord who is the one that is going to betray You?’ When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, ‘Lord- what about Him?’ ‘If I want him to remain until I come,’ Jesus answered, ‘what is that to you? As for you, follow Me.’ (vs 20-21)
