Smart Account Types Holding Smart Account Customer Smart Account Account where partners / distributors can temporarily deposit orders until the end customer smart account is identified. Who needs this: All Channel Partners Account where smart account enabled products are deposited. Licenses can be managed by customer directly, channel partner, or authorized party. Who needs this: All customers, and Channel Partners purchasing products for their own use Virtual Smart Account A subset of a smart account used to internally organize licenses.

Request Smart Account – Setup Holding Account for Partners and Distributors Create Holding Smart Account Create Customer Smart Account The next slides demonstrate how to create a Holding Smart Account, which you will need. Request Smart Account – Select an Account Approver 1 On the Smart Account Request page, select Yes or No to assign yourself or someone else to be the account approver and represent the company. Approver Authority to represent the company to Cisco; must be member of the company. Approve agreements and nominate account administrators Will need to accept role and complete account setup if approver is different than requestor 1 If you are requesting an account on behalf of a customer, these are similar steps that you would take to request a Customer Smart Account account from CSW.

Request Smart Account – Update the Account Domain Identifier 1 Click Edit to update the Domain Identifier of the Account (optional – requires additional approval time) In the Edit Account Identifier dialog box, review and update domain identifier information and click OK. Complete Smart Account Setup Approver will receive this from Cisco to complete the Smart Account Setup. Once this is complete and Cisco has approver the account, the account will be created and ready for use. Click Complete Smart Account Setup to continue with the smart account creation. Click preview the agreement to display the smart account agreement. 1 2 2 1 Note: request sent to the approver if requestor is different than approver. If approver is same as requestor, they will immediate proceed to the setup steps. Preview agreement before smart account process to determine if you are the right POC to represent the company before completing the Smart Account Set-up and agreement Updated first sentence
