2 Who were the Celts?? ● Celts were a group of people that occupied lands from the British Isles to Gallatia ● They had many dealings with other cultures that bordered the lands occupied by these people ● The celts were around in Iron Age and Medieval Time. http://www.ibiblio.org/gaelic/celts.html

10 Celtic Economy ● The basic economy of the Celts was mixed farming, and, except in times of unrest, single farmsteads were usual. Owing to the wide variations in terrain and climate, cattle raising was more important than cereal cultivation in some regions. http://www.crystalinks.com/celts.html

Celtic traders were also in contact with the Phoenicians, gold works made in Pre-Roman Ireland have been unearthed in archaeological digs in Palestine, and trade routes between the Celtic nations and Palestine date back to at least 1600 BC.
