Responding to Stakeholder Needs Career Focus Wage-Subsidy Program – The Council has funds available to help employers hire new workers in supply chain roles. Applications, submitted before hiring, are processed within a couple of days and participation in the program is simple. Learn more at www.supplychaincanada.org/en/career-focus.www.supplychaincanada.org/en/career-focus Supply Chain Occupational Standards – The 20 occupational standards created by the Council can be used: By employers, to develop job descriptions, competency profiles and job-performance tools, plan employee education and training programs, and establish succession plans; By employees, to identify skills and knowledge needed for particular occupations, assess their abilities and training needs, and identify clear career paths; and By learning providers, to design training and educational programs that meet industry needs. Thirteen further standards are now in development. Listings can be searched based on geographic, language and program-length preferences, and users can easily determine which of the offerings have been accredited by the Council through its National Accreditation Program.
