2 Begging the Question/ Circular Reasoning

3 “Because the Bible Says So” An universal of circular reasoning is debates about religious morals, such as abortion and homosexual marriage. The most common retaliation to these arguments from Christians or other religious denominations it “Because the bible says so”. This is an example of circular reasoning because it they are constantly giving the same argument, going back and forth.

4 Begging The Question/ Circular Reasoning Act 1 Page 185: Rebecca: Goody Ann! You sent a child to conjure up the dead? Mrs. Putnam: Let God blame me, not you, not you, Rebecca! I’ll not have judging me anymore! Is it natural work to lose seven children before they live a day? This is considered circular reasoning because Mrs. Putnam is accusing the loss of her children on a supernatural occurrence without any actual proof.
