Ed played at the Diamond Jubilee for the Queen and sang at the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics.

Ed Sheeran: International Success Ed released the album ‘X’ (also known as ‘multiply’) in mid 2014, and it was his second studio album, the first being ‘+’. ‘X’ reached number 1 in the UK Album Chart and in the US Billboard 200. His producer for the album, Rick Rubin, advised Ed to go with an “acoustically upbeat style” and Ed replied with the lead single ‘sing’.

7. Ed Sheeran: International Success He performed his album track, ‘Tenerife Sea’ at Madison Square Garden in New York in late 2013. Thinking Out Loud’s music video was released on the 8 th October 2014 and already had over 3 million views within the first 24 hours of being on Youtube.

9. Ed Sheeran: Charity Ed Sheeran performed a gig in Bristol and raised over £40,000 for street sex workers. He said “It's good to show insight that these people are real people with real emotions and they deserve the same charity work as anyone else” and also, he said “There's a lot more popular charities that get a lot of attention. 10. Ed Sheeran Ed Sheeran is my favourite artist because I love the style of songs that he does. My favourite song by Ed, is ‘Don’t’. I really like this song because the lyrics tell a story and the story applied to his life (so I’ve heard) And there isn’t a deep meaning to it but I love the way it goes.
