Nucleic Acid (DNA or RNA) Analysis Instructions Based on the nucleic acid “fingerprints” determine the identity of the virus that each patient possesses. Comparisons of the “banding pattern” between the patient’s virus and the known viruses should be made in order to determine the unknown virus’ identity.
