Midterm elections will determine who controls the agenda in Washington and in our state capitals On November 2nd, voters will elect hundreds of state and local leaders, 37 governors, 435 Members of Congress and 36 senators. Each of these elected officials has the ability to positively or negatively shape legislation impacting PPG’s ability to compete.

Wisconsin Key Races Governor: Tom Barrett (D) / Scott Walker (R) or Mark Neumann (R) Senate: Russ Feingold (D) / Ron Johnson (R) House: WI 3 – Ron Kind (D) WI 7 – Open (D) WI 8 – Steve Kagen (D) Appropriations chair David Obey (D 7) is retiring after serving 21 terms. Representative Paul Ryan (R 1) has written a blueprint for entitlement reform. Both parties may nominate candidates from Milwaukee for governor. The state has same-day voter registration. Two Republican House members (Sensenbrenner, Petri) are in their 16th term.
