Taking a Screenshot Screen shots are a throw back from the old MS DOS programming. If you look on your computer you will see a button that says “PRTSC” or “Print Scr.” If are using a Dell or HP computer with windows clicking this button will print the screen as it is now. There is some difference with other computers. Toshiba you use the FN/Print Screen.

Screenshots Often times it will on print part of the screen. When this happens you will need to hold the CTRL button and hit the print screen button. This prints the screen. If you want to take a screenshot to place in a documents you will need to do the following steps.

Screenshots 1. Open the format you want to save the screenshot in, such as Word or Powerpoint. 2. Hold the ALT button and then press the Print Screen button. This will take a snapshot of the screen.

Screen Shots I use the screenshots in the IG Inspection document quite often. When showing grades, Recall Rosters, Unit Bank Account, etc. I take a screen shot of the doc, save it as a file and then hyperlink to that file. Questions: MGySgt Gardner @ 423-477- 1612 or mgysgtgardner@gmail.com
