What Is Needed For Validating Video? Validating video requires the use of Screen Rectangle checking to provide a visual check of dynamic output.

Video: Advanced Preferences Step 1 of 6 On the eValid Toolbars, review the Synchronization area in Settings > Record/Play Advanced Preferences

Video: Advanced Preferences Step 2 of 6 Click Synchronization. Of particular importance are the Retry Interval, and the Max. Retry Time.

Video: Synchronization Step 2 of 6 The Retry Interval, determines the interval that eValid tries to match the screen rectangle.

Video: Synchronization Step 2 of 6 The Max. Retry Time, sets an upper threshold for the amount of time spent looking for the match.

Video: Validate & Synchronize Screen Rectangle Step 3 of 6 When you have reached a point in the video that is stationary for at least one second, perform a screen rectangle validation using Record > Validate > & Synchronize > Screen Rectangle.

Video: Screen Rectangle Step 4 of 6 Click in the upper left portion of the area you want to validate, and then in the lower right portion.

Video: Screen Rectangle Step 5 of 6 The rectangle encapsulates your selected data screen as shown in the screenshot to the left.

Video: Event Log Step 6 of 6 On Playback, event logs will be generated that include each attempt by eValid to match the screen rectangle content.

Video: OK Message On a successful playback, eValid will produce an OK message and move on to the next item in the script.
