Arizmendi Association Timeline to self-sufficiency 1-2 years Capital costs $450,000 Training costs $150,000 production, governance and democratic management, leadership development, operations/admin Industry expertise Team of 4-8 experienced bakers from Association partner bakeries Developer capacity 2-3 staffers (includes legal, financial, org trainer) – hire some outside trainers Legal support Incorporation, writing bylaws, commercial lease negotiation, employment law advice Accounting support Finance staffer sets up systems, guides finance committee; Accountant prepares taxes and advises

WAGES End goal: Green/non-toxic Cleaning cooperatives of 10-25 members Owned by low-income immigrant women Providing a regular schedule and consistent earnings Creating opportunities to build wealth and skills Connected to peers and a developer who provides ongoing technical assistance and support

WAGES Timeline to self- sufficiency 3-5 years Capital costs $15-50,000 Training time 80-100 hr founding member training, 30-60 hour new member training. Job skills (green cleaning), cooperativism, WAGES, and life skills. Industry expertise In-house team of green cleaning experts; EFC trademarked technique includes product suite, tools/supplies and methods Developer capacity Development team composed of 1 Fte GM.5-.8 Fte trainer.25-.5 Fte TA Plus governance, oversight by ED/prog dir Legal support LLC formation, writing bylaws, commercial lease negotiation, employment law advice Accounting support Set up and advise coop office on doing day to day books. Monthly Reconciliation and financial analysis.
