7 Executive Director’s Report Member Representation  Since the 2011 General Meetings:  51 new complaints  23 new grievances; 11 proceeding to arbitration  Canadian Human Rights Commission decided in favour of TEAM member  Current open files: 18 complaints, 31 grievances, and 1 Human Rights case

10 Finance Report December 31, 2011  Income: $1,304,673  Expenses: $938,157  General Fund Balance: $750,766*  Defence Fund Balance: $747,419  Financial Statements available *Cash, savings and investments (MTS shares & Ethical Funds)

11 Finance Report Current Status  General Fund Balance: $850,000  Defence Fund Balance: $883,499  Board reviews income and expenditure minimum of six times a year

12 DB Pension Lawsuit Supreme Court of Canada Feb 2012 – Sought leave to appeal Oct 2012 – Won leave ?2013 – Appear before the Supreme Court  Percentage of cases granted leave is very low  All three unions and the retiree group (TRAM) are sharing the costs
