Schedule and Timelines Thursday 08th August 17:00- 18:00Opening Ceremony, Sparks St. 18:30 – 20:00Pasta Party – First seating 20:00 – 21.30 Pasta Party – Second seating Bike training option is on the open road going with the traffic. Athletes should avoid rush hour while training. Helmet required to be on during training.

Parade of Nations All athletes will be Welcome to participate in the Parade of Nations on Sparks St. Athletes will corral at the intersection of O'Connor St. & Sparks St., on the west side Will march along Sparks St. to in front of the CIBC building (Signage will be visible) You will be meeting with Amanda Stern & Larissa Mankis

Registration Procedure After the briefing Pick up your registration pack and check: Bib number Bike stickers 3 helmet stickers 2 prosthesics stickers (categories 2,5) Wristband Pasta Party ticket Register your personal handler, or in case you need a volunteer, tell us to assign one. The handler will receive the specific t-shirt.

Check-in procedures 10 August Athletes Lounge Uniform check (name, country, logos, ITU logo, zippers) – photos taken of each uniform. Wearing other uniform during the race = DQF! Body marking check (both arms, both legs) Timing chip distribution (1 for the ankle) Personal Handlers have to register with the athlete: T-shirt Bib Number

Check-in procedures Transition Area Proceed to transition area for bike check Bring all necessary equipment. No bags in transition and must be left in Athletes Lounge. Toilets near the Transition and at the Athletes Area.

Pre-start Procedure Athlete line-up: Technical official will escort you to the start area. Stay behind the line!

Start Procedure Athletes in position: The start can be given any time after the TD announces ”On your mark” Air horn blast The race starts

Penalties Stop in the next Penalty Box and must stay there for 1 minute for sprint distance It is the athletes responsibility to stop in the next Penalty Box. Failing to do this will result in disqualification. Penalty Box: 1 – At the bike turning point in Tunney. 2 – Before entering in TA.

Run Penalty Box New Rule The penalty box is for infringements in: TA1 and TA2 e..x.: Mount before mount line, dismount after dismount line, discharge or store your equipment outside your designated area, rack the bike outside your own space etc Location: 100 m before the Finish Line Information: White board to show race numbers (Athletes need to read the board – coaches are advised to check and inform their athletes) Procedure: 10 second time penalty served on any lap of the run If you don’t stop DSQ

Run Penalty Box Rule interpretation Mount after the mount line: It has to be one contact of the athlete foot with the floor after the mount line. If this contact does not occur the action is considered as mount the bike before the mount line. Dismount before the dismount line: It has to be one contact of the athlete foot with the floor before the dismount line. If this contact does not occur the action is considered as dismount the bike before the dismount line. Discharge or store your equipment inside your designated area: Leaving the equipment (helmet, etc.) in the designated box. Rack the bike inside your own space: In case of Traditional bike rack, the bike must be racked with at least one side of the handlebar or the seatpost with 0,5m to the name plate.

Medical Procedures Only LOC Medical Staff area allowed in the medical area. Every NF accredited doctor MUST have completed the proof of medical license and proof of malpractice insurance! The NF accredited doctor is allowed in the medical area only when an athlete from their country is in the area.
